His debut EP follows a surfing injury that sidelined him in 2025 and marks a deeper exploration of his tropical environment. Meridian Slide, released on Omnidisc/Flamingo Park in October 2025, marked the evolution of his sound with sub-aquatic synth layers, sun-kissed breaks, and hazier acid workouts like his collaboration with CDMX artist Charles Moon. Omnidisc label boss Danny Daze was quick to hype the EP, which followed with artists like Ben UFO, Mr. Ho and livwutang spinning this debut record. Having cut his teeth in DJ booths while living in both Miami and Los Angeles over the past decade, his adventures in sonic storytelling mimic his antics in the ocean. From deep rolling currents to grooves that float like seagulls in the wind, R/V Calypso’s style is one born out of the kinetic movement of waves. Fluid and dynamic, his ability to read the ebb and flow of dancefloors will see him move from house to electro in a style that is all his own.
