Pietro Gentile

Peter Mellander has (at least..) two different alias; “Pietro Gentile” when serving the dubby tweaky dubhouse/minimal/AcidHouse/nuAcid and, “peter m.lander” when delivering his dark suggestive psychotic techno at underground clubs/raves. His first DJ-gig was in 1991(!) but his main contribution to the early evolution of Göteborg’s (and Sweden’s) club-/underground scene was via radio! Together with the originator (and legendary ambient/electronica-dj) Henrik Strömberg, Peter led the underground dance music radio show ”hq” [eit∫ kju:] (on K103) during the ninetees! A legacy that many of today's older djs still refer to and recognize as inspiration to their career. In recent years Peter has organized several groovy bar- and terrace sessions and not the least, helped us prolonging the weekends during the summer of 2024 with is lovely SUNDANCE Club. Peter’s strength lies in; always staying within the framework of his suggestive, monotonous, mystical, tweaky somewhat nearby ”psychotic” underground-born sound picture - while delicately adapting the tone and intensity to the specific context.
