Isabel Essence

Since beginning her DJ practice in 2021, Isabel has performed coast-to-coast, had mixes featured on underground radio platforms, and shared lineups with artists including Coco & Breezy, Matroda, Dombresky, Black Rave Culture, Carl Craig, and Aurora Halal. She has co-run the Durham-based music collective Sonic Essence since 2022 alongside co-leads Ver and Savant. Known for her genre-agnostic, high-energy soundscapes, Isabel weaves percussive textures and elevated BPMs into emotionally driven sets that treat music as memory. Her performances blur the boundaries between styles, cultures, and eras, creating narrative arcs that transform the dancefloor into a space for connection and release. A self-described dancefloor alchemist, Isabel approaches music as a vehicle for collective healing—bringing intention, intensity, and care to every room she plays.
