Santiago Ochoa Bernal, born in Cuenca, Ecuador on December 15, 1990, grew up surrounded by music thanks to his family, exploring string instruments, synthesizers, and audio systems from an early age. This constant curiosity about sound has defined a career marked by relentless exploration. Under the stage name OTXOA, he blends genres and musical styles to create a diverse and personal sound where melodies expressed through string instruments move seamlessly from future jazz fused with techno, funk and breakbeat, to minimalist rock. He began playing electric guitar in 2005 and, together with his brother Gustavo, founded the rock band UTUTO. In 2018, after completing his studies at Universidad de las Américas (UDLA) in Quito, he embarked on his career as a music producer. Currently, he leads Hexagrab, a music production studio and event promoter based in Cuenca, where he advances both his personal projects and collaborations with other artists. He has shared stages and projects with artists such as Anna Wall, DJ Masda, Jane Fitz, 100Hz, Markus Sommer, Dani Casarano, Alex Picone, Admo, Juaan, Nicola Cruz, Felipe Valenzuela, Cosmic JD, Lost Stories, Juan Proeliis, Fabro, MOP, among others. His music continues to evolve, connecting with diverse audiences worldwide.
