2024 BIO: ORCHIID has been residing out on the west coast of Canada in the Vancouver area since late 2020. This multi-genre artist blossomed her career within the Alberta Electronic Dance Music scene in early 2015 and started releasing mixes on her SoundCloud in 2016 within the styles of Deep House, Tech House, Bass House & UK Bassline/Garage. Since then, she’s been an unstoppable force that’s been tearing up dance floors across western Canada. She has played to numerous sold out local shows & major festivals ever since she’s been on the rise. Known for her high energy & memorable performances, ORCHIID’s first release “CRZY” was completely independent & it managed to get featured on Your EDM’s International Women’s Day Spotify playlist in 2020. She's signed a couple record deals to Subsound (UK) & Phunk Junk Records (USA) and has lots more on the way. To say she’s well established would be an understatement, as she has recently received 34K total ORGANIC plays on her SoundCloud alone from all over the world since 2016. As of recently, she's been diving back into her roots of where her vinyl technical knowledge stems from - which is Drum & Bass and Techno. Throughout her career, she’s worked with many companies such as Boodang Music Canada, Blueprint Alberta & now is onboard with them in Vancouver, Shambhala Music Festival, & Digital Motion BC. Prior to the pandemic, she maintained club residencies in AB at The Hifi Club (Calgary), Y Afterhours (Edmonton) and played other shows frequently. In 2023, she had her debut at The Red Room w/ Digital Motion BC (and now has a residency there), as well as Celebrities Nightclub, and also played as a headliner a few times. Fast forward to where she is now… her main focus has been put towards wrapping up several of her own songs to be released in the coming months/years, as well as continuing to build her UNDRGRND REBIRTH community brand - aiming to raise the percentage of under-represented categories across all lineups to create an equal balance within’ the EDM industry.
