Velutto

VELUTTO — Full Biography Velutto is a Madrid-based DJ and producer whose artistic practice exists at the intersection of electronic music, movement and contemporary performance. With a background in dance and sound experimentation, his approach to club music extends beyond the dancefloor, exploring sound as a physical, spatial and deeply sensory experience. Moving fluidly between deep house, minimal, progressive house and electro, Velutto develops a sonic language defined by elastic basslines, microscopic percussion, liquid synthesis and expansive dub-infused atmospheres. His selections embrace the unexpected, navigating the boundaries between genres while maintaining a strong sense of groove, tension and continuity. Minimal in elements yet maximalist in detail, his sound favours subtle transformations, hypnotic structures and intricate textures that reveal themselves through attentive listening. As a member of REM and Nerviossa Radio, Velutto contributes to an emerging electronic music culture centred on experimentation, artistic exchange and community. His work challenges conventional approaches to club music, advocating for the dancefloor as a space where physical expression and active listening coexist. Whether through DJ sets or production, Velutto seeks to construct immersive sonic environments that invite audiences to engage with electronic music beyond its immediate rhythmic function, discovering new relationships between sound, body and perception.
