Mike Textbeak has always straddled the line between experimental industrial and dance music with his releases on labels such as Carlos Peron's Dark Daze label, Tundra Dubs (San Francisco), Lasergun (Berlin), Bleak (Vienna), Pale Noir (Madison, WI), Vaatican Records (France), Xynthetic (Canada), Time Theory, 21/22 Corp, Swishcotheque (UK), Colin Johnco (France), Amduscias, Audiotie (Germany), Politicide (Germany), and co-owns the Philtre Com imprint with co-conspirator Claus Muzak aka Lucas Kuzma of The Strange Agency (musical instrument app company). His band Bath was featured on the “Why Be Blake When You Can Be Bleak?” compilation on the Bleak label with experimental industrial veterans Coil, Attrition, SLEEPCHAMBER, Nocturnal Emissions, and Portion Control. He also is in the projects WEEP THE PEOPLE (with Claus Muzak and Ben Jones Like Whoa) and 1954 (with poet and stencil artist Eric Alleman, Robert Nagy aka Voctave, and deceased artist Jason Adams (aka AGATE). Textbeak has performed at the CVRRENTS showcase at SXSW 2012 (with ∆AIMON, RITUALZ, Funerals, Men in Burka, Strange Powers…), The 2012 Euphony showcase for Pale Noir label (with ∆AIMON and eyedoublecross), the one year anniversary event for Tundra Dubs label in 2011 (with ∆AIMON, Nako and Bobby Peru). He has also performed at various events and festivals around the United States supporting acts such as Test Department, Nitzer Ebb, Pictureplane, Death in June, David J of Bauhaus and Love and Rockets, Mr.Kitty, Gatekeeper, My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult, Teengirl Fantasy, The Legendary Pink Dots, Meat Beat Manifesto, Lycia, Black Tape for a Blue Girl, Larry Tee and many more. He has remixed artists including 3 TEETH (Artoffact), Architect (Hymen), Blush Response (Basic Unit Productions), Bestial Mouths (Clan Destine), Gene Serene, Slow Head (Phantasma Disques) and more. He has been remixed by Oliver Ho (Raudive/Broken English Club), Strange Powers, Todd Sines, Myrrh Ka Ba and more.
