DJ HYPERVELVET is based in Asheville, NC and is the founder of the CROWD$OURCE party that raises money for local mutual aid projects that work in the name of dignity and justice in Western North Carolina-- from free food distro to bail funds to queer resource collectives and many causes in between. She believes in the club as catharsis, joy as community building, and curating high energy leftfield sounds from around the world that make a person want to capital M Move. Spanning many genres and BPMs, her sets find unexpected cohesion in their mix.
