Born in Moscow but resident in places such as Waterford, Maastricht, and now Berlin, DJ Freakuency has settled in with music, fashion, film and art communities of the world after enrolling into Catalyst - Institute for Creative Arts & Technology in The Funkhaus. Throughout his career, he has shaped his sound into the upper echelons of innovativeness, running the renowned record label Scumklub. Organising parties to stimulate socio-political awareness of marginalised communities was a huge developmental stage for Scumklub. His view on perfection, both aesthetically and sonically, garners attention through performances, music style, and sound. DJ Freakuency and his secret hometown parties instantly gained him a cult following of artists, creatives, and innovators. To further promote the ethos of showcasing emerging and established artists, DJ Freakuency started to curate an internationally renowned mix series, The Scumklub Mix Series. The recordings and content gained from this series are archived, uploaded and shared to relevant social media platforms so that esoteric individuals can listen, find and explore uncharted territories of new club music. By using art, fashion, film and music to cut through other art forms, DJ Freakuency‘s power is output via memorable dancefloor moments, positive energy and stellar aesthetic.
