With a background in classical piano and fine art photography, and having lived in cities like London, LA, Beijing, and Shanghai, COLA has developed her own artistic vision that is deeply rooted in both music and visual art. COLA REN excels in using sound to depict organic visuals and emotional colors, guiding listeners through rhythms originating from different corners and roots of the world. In the spring of 2023, COLA REN co-founded the label AMWAV with Mamayo and has released her debut solo EP 'Hailu'. It has had early support from DJs and radio stations worldwide, including Knopha, Lena Willikens, Vladimir Ivkovic, K-LONE, Al Wootton, Joe Delon, NTS, Rinse FM, Kiosk Radio, The Lot Radio, and others. During the summer of 2023, she concluded a two-month European tour promoting her debut EP. Throughout this period, she made appearances on international radio stations such as NTS, HÖR, Kiosk Radio, and was a special guest for the monthly show of the UK label Wisdom Teeth on Rinse FM.
