Bridge (NY)
Biografía
Bridge is a Ghanaian-Italian multidisciplinary artist based in Brooklyn. A true vibe curator and storyteller, she infuses her sets with powerful influences from classic and gospel house, disco, and ballroom. Born in Italy and raised in California, Bridge embodies what it means to be a global storyteller. From TEDx to Forbes to DJing, she seamlessly fuses her love of music and performance to create experiences that elevate the classics of house and disco while bridging the gap to modern sounds.
Her style pays homage to house legends—especially the divas of the genre—such as Barbara Tucker, Kim English, Martha Wash, and more. As a student of classic house, Bridge is dedicated to honoring and spotlighting the pioneers who laid the foundation. Her ability to fluidly blend genres has caught the attention of international DJs like Natasha Diggs, Musclecars, and others. She recently brought her sound to London, creating a full-circle moment in her journey as a global artist.
Bridge is also the co-founder of PowerHaus, a Brooklyn-based house music collective made up of Andrew Wilkes (Wolf Spritzer), Bridget Kyeremateng (Bridge), and Marc Orphée (CRVM). PowerHaus delivers an eclectic mix of dance, funk, and disco, reflecting each DJ’s unique perspective, experience, and passion. Their sets are carefully curated with deep cuts, driving basslines, and unforgettable vocals.
In New York, Bridge has become known for her captivating performances and vocally driven tracks that create a sonic atmosphere blurring the line between fantasy and reality. Her party series, Honey Bee, offers a space for DJs and dancers to fully immerse themselves in deep and gospel house. Bridge has made her mark on the underground scene, playing iconic spaces like Soul in the Horn, Elsewhere, Lot Radio, Jupiter Disco, Club Room, and more.
