Birdsnake

Birdsnake have carved out a name for themselves for creating unique, live electronic dance music. With an attraction to tonal experimentation, textural improv and percussive dubs, their records and live performances offer a distinctive transcendental and hypnotic space for the listener to enter. Birdsnake’s debut Album Biofilter received awards and praise from community radio stations, shows, selectors and collectors throughout the Melbourne electronic scene. The bands recent live appearances include Hopkins Creek, SXSW Sydney, Sonder, Brunswick Music Festival and an Indonesia tour. Their recent singles ‘Rare Amulet’ and ‘Hydrostatic Pressure’ have had support from the likes of KEXP, NTS, BBC6 and FBI. A statement from the band: Good evening children of the world, we are here, four brothers made from the ashes of time and space. Lord gave us rhythm to search for the new sound. Through the powers of psychedelic bass, textural electronica and trip hop, we explore and experiment. Join us in our plight to take over the dance floor with no words but instrumentals. We are here to party.
