VRSTCK - 20 JAHRE - Open Air

VRSTCK flew the flag for the anti-stereotype, the finest of the fine, back when the German underground still meant it. The Vrstck Club in Dortmund made history and closed its doors sixteen years ago. For the twentieth anniversary of that wonderful institution, 5 September 2026 brings an event that thaws out frozen time for one day. Over its short history, the most legendary club in the Ruhr welcomed Âme, Ben Klock, Dinky, Dominik Eulberg, Gebrüder Teichmann, Geo, Herbert Boese, Len Faki, Märtini Brös., Mathias Kaden, Oliver Koletzki, Onur Özer, Pan-Pot, Seth Troxler, Jake The Rapper, Troy Pierce, Violett and Vladimir Ivkovic, among many others, and not least Moby, dropping by during the Loveparade in 2008. Well clear of art in blinkers, the room also made space for prize-winning cabaret and performance artists and all kinds of art activists. Twenty years on, the point still stands. No blinkers, no stereotypes, and no need to say so out loud. Two locations, one night. Maschinerie, Dortmund Hafen, 18:00 to 01:00. Second location, 23:00 to 06:00, address not public. Resident Advisor allows only one venue per listing, so the one above is Maschinerie. The night carries on elsewhere. Covered backup venue in place if the weather turns.
