The project brings together Brenda and Maria Manuela, two Colombian producers and DJs whose output navigates fluidly across contemporary electronic music while retaining a singular point of view. Rather than operating within fixed genres, Ultrabruma works through intersections: techno's spatial architecture softly merges with the emotional charge of pop songwriting; dub-informed low-end pressure plays carefully with intricate rhythmic vocabularies drawn from the Caribbean, South Asia, and the African diaspora. At the center of their craft lies a fascination with duality: tension and softness, functionality and experimentation, intimacy and physicality, all treated not as opposites, but as mutually reinforcing energies.
