Halloween weekend arrives at Signal with four nights of programmed expressly to keep you freaking from Friday through Sunday night. Almost 30 artists, going nonstop, getting absolutely spooky with you.
We kick off on Thursday with Midnight Stereo. mink slides into the peak-hour slot for hypnotic techno and deep house.
This Halloween, Signal opens the gates for a weekend of mischief and debauchery. Two rooms, an extended procession of selectors, and with the clocks turning back, even the universe is conspiring to keep us out a little longer.
Friday begins with Joiah and Tommy Chikara setting the room in motion before Parisian trio Apollonia takes possession of the Signal soundsystem for eight uninterrupted hours. Dan Ghenacia, Dyed Soundorom, and Shonky bring their unmistakable chemistry, deep record bags, and devotion to the long, winding groove, carrying us through the dead of night and well into Saturday morning.
As daylight creeps in, Per Hammar takes the reins with his stripped-back, dub-inflected approach to house and techno, followed by Matthias b2b So-Fi. Italian selector Inner Lakes then draws us through deep, gritty electronics, psychedelic rhythms, and unexpected textural twists and turns. His unpredictable selections give way to Jade Seatle b2b Karine, a meeting of two seasoned diggers. London's Jade Seatle, one half of Night Moves alongside Jane Fitz, joins Berlin-based Karine, longtime resident and booker at Kyiv's Closer, for a winding excursion through hypnotic house, off-kilter minimal, electro, and breakbeat.
Shakolin keeps the early evening moving before Signal regulars J. Richards and Kurilo join forces for a back-to-back session, with Wayne Holland taking us into the second night.
Meanwhile, the Aux room has its own spooky agenda. 98dots and Henry Chow open the proceedings before Bristol's Hodge brings his restless collision of UK bass, electro, and techno into the early hours. Chloe Battelle follows with rolling, hypnotic techno and dub-informed textures as the sun rises, making way for Nuno Carneiro and DJ Brian to carry the room through Saturday morning.
After a brief disappearance into the daylight hours, the Aux room comes back to life at 10 PM with Jack Mulqueen, setting the stage for a late-night run of live electronics and deep underground selections. French producer Vitess brings his Live elastic, groove-heavy live performance, followed by Alvaro Medina, whose set stretches across the clocks turning back, granting us an extra hour in the dark. Julie Marghilano and Taimur take over from there, guiding the room through the final hours of Sunday morning.
Back on the Signal stage, BOBBY. welcomes the witching hour with an extended two-hour session courtesy of daylight saving time, before Canadian electronic music pioneer Mathew Jonson takes control with a live performance of intricate, evolving rhythms and analog synthesis. Berlin's PARAMIDA delivers the final spell, bringing her psychedelic, high-energy approach to house, trance, and the stranger corners of dance music to close out the marathon.
Halloween weekend closes on Sunday with a lineup rooted in the history and culture of underground house music. Berlin favorites Lakuti and Tama Sumo come together for a back-to-back set, joined by New York mainstays Mike Servito and Shaun J. Wright, whose shared history spans decades of queer dance floors and club culture. KWÉYÒLKIDZ rounds out the bill for one final session of the Halloween Weekender, running from 5 PM to 1 AM.
Dress accordingly.
