Contrair Open Air returns to OLT Rivierenhof in Antwerp for its fifth edition, spreading across two days on 18 & 19 July 2026. For the first time, the festival breaks out of its arena format and expands into the park itself. A custom second stage, conceived together with architecture students, turns Rivierenhof into a single open-air ecosystem for electronic music lovers. Saturday is devoted to movement. An international cast of DJs and selectors takes over both stages for long sets, deep grooves and the kind of dancefloor connections that only happen in summer. Danilo Plessow (Motor City Drum Ensemble) brings his signature warmth and precision, DJ EZ delivers a masterclass in UK garage and bass music technique, Eris Drew weaves house, breakbeats and trance into what she calls a ritual rather than a party. Eclectic Elektra channels a decade of Berliner club culture into tribal rhythms and cosmic house, SUCHI brings colour and genre-fluid energy, Sam Alfred threads jazz-tinged house with 90s UK garage spirit, shoplifter unspools sets rooted in UK bass and dub-inflected club music. The bill rounds out with two B2Bs: Brussels diva ttyfal b2b with Contrair co-founder massignan.y and a vinyl-driven Zephyr b2b SVE (Sono Ventura Soundsystem). Sunday scales back to one stage, the famous OLT Rivierenhof and pivots entirely to live performance. No DJ sets: Ão, ECHT! and Lander & Adriaan each deliver full live electronics. Ão presents their latest album Malandra, melding Mozambican-Portuguese roots, artpop and electronic layering, Brussels quartet ECHT! collides jazz training with Stones Throw-influenced hip-hop, electro and futurist funk, Lander & Adriaan (Lander Gyselinck and Adriaan Van de Velde) fuse 90s dance, chicago juke, Detroit techno, UK funky and classic rave into a euphoric live 360° set.
