SUCHI
Biografía
SUCHI's mission to place South Asian producers on the map is prominent throughout her sets, mixes and affiliation with the collective, Daytimers. Her selections combine the right touch of percussive drums, Indian disco, prog house, breaks, bass, trance and techno.
As a producer, she peppers her productions with flavours from all the places she's lived in (Oslo, London, Delhi, New York, and now Manchester). Whether it’s Norwegian Sami Joik fused with punchy UK breaks or soft tabla percussions weaved into ethereal vocal manipulations, she continues to define her sound through the musical inspirations she grew up with.
Her debut EP ‘Swift’ released on Coastal Haze last year received critical acclaim in DJ Mag, Mixmag and Resident Advisor. Her single ‘Seher’, featuring the vocals of Qawwali singer, Nusrat Fateh Ali Kha was premiered as Mary Anne Hobb’s ‘Near Future’ track on BBC R6.
SUCHI has also been supported by the likes of Bicep, Logic1000, The Blessed Madonna, HAAi, Skrillex, Pitchfork, Vogue, Rolling Stone, Electronic Beats.
