Tottie
Biografía
Since moving to LA and in a relatively short time, Tottie has emerged as an important figure in broadcast radio, with her long-running show on dublab "Across The Pond" and collaborative show SOS Music show on WWFM with Maddy Maia. She's been playing across the USA, co-curating SOS Music's club night takeovers at infamous venues such as Goodroom NYC, El Cid LA. She regularly plays at LA Parties; Rhonda Intl, The Party by Ostbahnhof, and Surround. In 2019, she curated and played DUBLAB'S boat party at Dekmantel Selectors in Croatia and played an all-female-focused stage at Coachella, b2b with her co-founder Maddy Maia. Known for having the "Midas Touch and Ears" when she plays, Tottie is a music chameleon, hopelessly lost in dance and electronic music.
Her musical appetite spans a myriad of genres, from gospel to disco, house and techno to UKG, fantasy new-age folk to 90’s r&b. She owns a distinct sound and methodology to making her DJ sets explosive and experimental. Living in London, Barcelona and now Los Angeles, she echoes those key stages of her life sonically in her mixes and sets as well as her vocal work on Maddy Maia’s productions. Tottie hosts two radio shows - a monthly show on DUBLAB called , ‘Across The Pond,’ where she amplifies unheard voices and uplifts her local and global communities working in electronic music and The Full Friday Service with SOS Music on Worldwide FM.
Tottie co-founded SOS Music in 2020 (a !K7 imprint) alongside Maddy Maia. The label is dedicated to amplying female and non binary artists. The label was formed out of a need to address imbalances in electronic music, and in the last two years it has provided a platform for emerging female, non-binary and gender minority talent from across the globe. With two critically acclaimed releases under their belt, and a sold out North America tour SOS Music is proving to be a formidable force in the quest to level the playing field.
