Toirabat was already making his own mixtapes and compilations and playing different instruments through musical education from a young age. In his adolescence he quickly fell in love with going to concerts and electronic music, of which mostly relentless electro and sturdy punk or indie rock. Through the years becoming a versatile DJ and releasing the beats at bars or parties, raving and clubbing inspired him to dig deeper in the electronical underground, becoming fluent in many genres from uncommon house grooves to hefty bass music or from techno rollers to tasty breaks. He stylishly chooses the right music for the right time, and takes you to places you didn’t know you desired. After throwing different events in his radiant hometown of Brussels he began co-hosting the downtempo series called Deux Chevaux, where he curates and presents dancefloor gems like chuggy acid, slomo trance, warped dub/bass, italo oddities and more, captured by the broader term Lento Violento: A hypnotic genre where people dance through an unrushed and often intense sonic landscape. But as much as he enjoys to roam further by moving slower he loves taking it up a notch all the way through the higher bpm’s to create a vibrant, polyrhythmic and spine tingling whole, leaving his audience sore and satisfied.
