softchaos is the pseudonym of Teresa Stout, the Amercian dj, multidisciplinary artist, and writer specialized in research-based visual and sound art. Their experimental sets are watermarked by their melodic pairing of hard groove-driven music along with aggressive percussive tracks and far-reaching techno, weaving genres meticulously in acts of reclamation. Coming up in a wave of new electronic selectors, they have experienced rapid growth in the last year, playing alongside notable heavyweights such as Juliana Huxtable, LSDXOXO, Lady Shaka, TYGAPAW, Cardopusher, Casual Gabberz, Gabrielle Kwarteng, DOSS and have shared stages with the newest innovators in electronic music such as Crystallmess and DJ Travella, and Patia. They recently returned from tour, including sold out dates in New York, London, Paris, Barcelona, Madrid, Brussels, Vancouver and Berlin. They havde performed globally at various institutions including Primavera Sound, Boiler Room, Les Ardentes, Le Hasard Ludique, Paragon Broadway, Corsica Studios, Razzmatazz, Traumabarundkino and Arco Feria, among others.
