Hailing from the vibrant streets of Manchester, my journey began with a second-hand pair of 1210's, a gift from my parents (let's just say it was a joint effort). Growing up in a household where the sounds of the late 80s and early 90s house music filled the air, courtesy of my older siblings returning from legendary venues like Manchester's Hacienda, I was destined to fall in love with the groove. From the infectious mixes of Jay Warden to the groundbreaking sounds of Sasha before he became a household name, I was immersed in the essence of house music from the get-go. As fate would have it, my dedication and hard work propelled me onto some of the biggest stages worldwide. From the pulsating clubs of the UK to the sun-soaked shores of Ibiza, I've graced the decks of renowned venues, spinning tunes for esteemed house music brands like Hed Kandi, Defected, and Miss Moneypennys. My professional career truly flourished during the era of funky house, where I held residencies at Manchester's iconic Venus the Club, catering to diverse audiences under the banners of Hed Kandi, Plush, and Twisted Elegance. Not to forget my nine-year tenure as a resident DJ at the legendary Sankey Soaps, where the beats never stopped and the energy was electric. In 2013, I pressed pause on my musical endeavors to embark on the journey of fatherhood, a role I wholeheartedly embraced for four years. Yet, amidst the joys of parenthood, I couldn't shake the feeling that something was missing—the rhythm, the melody, the music. And so, with renewed vigor, I returned to the turntables, this time setting my sights on the bustling city of Leeds. Leeds, with its thriving club scene and musically savvy crowds, became my second home. From guest DJ appearances at Mission to igniting dance floors at Mint Warehouse and Stinkys, I've embraced the pulse of the city and its vibrant nightlife. So, as I continue to blend beats and spin tales through sound, one thing remains certain—my love for house music knows no bounds, and my journey as a DJ is far from over.
