LX (CA)

LX got her start in music at a young age playing piano, growing up with a musician father who helped her develop her appreciation for music. That appreciation grew while she was living abroad in Bangkok, where she started to explore underground parties and rooftop bars with DJs spinning house and techno, witnessing firsthand how music brought people together acrosss cultures and languages. Inspired by what she experienced, she learned to DJ upon returning to Canada, shifting from listener to creator. Since then, she has built an impressive résumé, opening for DJs such as Gene Farris, Felix Cartal, Riko & Gugga, and CRi, and playing at festivals across Canada such as Escapade Music Festival and Camp Summerdaze. She has expanded into the global scene, playing in Peru, Cuba, and at ADE in Amsterdam. Her sound blends minimal, deep, and tech house, creating an atmosphere that connects people on the dance floor and leaves a lasting impression. Beyond the decks, LX serves on the marketing team of DAZE Ottawa, a collective dedicated to building Canada’s capital's dance music scene through events and community. She also co-founded Latency Records with DJ and producer Anthony Cole, a label with no creative limitations, built to give emerging artists the space to explore their sound.
