“I want to make people feel happy, reassured. And if I can’t, I want to inspire them!’’ That’s what Rødig always tried to stand for. His dedication to music didn’t randomly come out of the blue. During his university years as an architect, making others happy wasn’t such a big deal, but staying happier himself was another story. Standing for who he wanted to be got harder and harder as years passed. He was slowly forgetting who he was to solely fit into a teen’s vision of a wealthy and comfortable life. ‘’But come on man! Life’s not about that, you got to do what you love’’. One mental breakdown later, Rødig came to realize one crucial thing, one can’t inspire others if he’s not inspired himself. And that’s when music came to the foreground of his life, enabling him to fully free his creativity and stop him from trying to fit into a scheme that wasn’t his. He’s still an architect… an architect of sound. Listening to UK Garage, Dubstep, and Drum’n’Bass at a young age, Rødig finally found his style when discovering the German-based label Ilian Tape. It didn’t take long before he started preaching electronic genres ranging from Techno, Breaks/Electro to House. On the more acoustic side, Jazz and Funk are the kind of music that makes him vibrate. If he had to be born at another time in life and somewhere else, it would have been in Detroit in the 80s - 90s era, where old school techno was at its finest. A good story is like groove: it needs to be catchy not to be boring. Like groove makes a track catchy and gives it rhythm. N°1 to N°1000 priorities in Rødig’s music are to deliver a strong sense of groove. The next thousand are to share an authentic emotion. Always there to keep it fun, funky, or touching.
