J Gabriel

Founder of Onysia and Convent Records and a well-seasoned devotee of dancefloor debauchery, J Gabriel has been translating raw party energy into musical creations for nearly two decades. His NYC based studio-lair is an expression of love for vintage sonics and dedication to old-school analog production techniques. While J Gabriel’s sound rests firmly upon a classic deep house foundation, his productions bare their own distinct sonic signature and stylistic diversity, exploring the realms of dub, minimal, downtempo and beyond. Aliases include Chuffing Buffy for heavier, twister, weirder ideas, and Mojo District for more foundational house sounds.
