Rob Philmar

Rob Philmar is a longtime DJ whose roots trace back to 1985, when a chance roller-skating opportunity sparked a lifelong devotion to dance music. Raised on funk, hip-hop, freestyle, and early house, he spent decades building a deep vinyl collection and mastering traditional beatmatching. After commanding dancefloors for years across clubs, parties, and weddings, he took a temporary hiatus before returning to the decks inspired by his longtime friend DJ Yee. Today, Rob seamlessly bridges his old-school vinyl foundation with modern digital setups, delivering a distinct sound that honors his roots while pushing forward. He is a resident selector in the House of Yee Collective alongside DJ Yee and François G. Together, the crew focuses strictly on the dancefloor, blending tech house and high-energy grooves across regular events in Cambridge.
