RMNA is the live performance project of bay area multimedia artist, hacker, and tall girl Ramona Sharples. In her live sets and installations she brings sound design, cyberfashion, hacking skills, and video art together in service of her true love: techno. With a sonic palette ranging from hard-hitting industrial to hypnotic minimal euphoria, RMNA builds techno landscapes to get lost in. Her music is inspired by the blissful sidechain-time of sweaty nights with friends in the junk spaces of San Francisco. She always performs her sets live, primarily with an Elektron Syntakt. She got her start at Noisebridge's open mic night Resident Electronic Monthly, and has since performed at iconic San Francisco clubs like F8 and the Stud. RMNA owes a huge debt of gratitude to the underground scene, and wants to help build the parties of the future with fresh tracks and DIY audiovisual tools.
