Paula Juana

Bringing together an extensive experience in the music industry — always going after highly sought-after tunes — and a sharp ear for what’s needed on the dancefloor, her DJ sets draw on everything from vintage Salsas to Caribbean rhythms, dancehall and DYI electro, passing by Brazilian and Italo disco and throwing in bits of edits and remixes that bring up the best of old school reggaeton and rapping styles. Paula Juana is the Creative Director of Soundway Publishing and manages sync and licensing for Soundway Records. She has been with Soundway for 12 years and 6 years ago she partnered-up with founder Miles Cleret to shape-up the publisher and future of the label. Soundway is a London-based independent record label and music publisher putting out and representing critically acclaimed compilation albums, re-issues of African, Caribbean, Latin and Asian music from the 1950s to the 80s and original contemporary releases.
