Born in Lima in 1999, Edu Castañeda — better known as Mindlancholic — began his journey into electronic music production in 2021, developing a distinctive approach rooted in progressive sounds, cinematic atmospheres, and detailed storytelling. Influenced by the emotional depth of underground electronic music, he focuses on creating tracks that balance subtle groove, immersive melodies, and evolving dynamics. In a short period of time, his productions have gained recognition and support from respected artists within the global progressive scene, including Nick Warren, Hernán Cattáneo, Mariano Mellino, and DJ Ruby. Through a sound that combines introspection with dancefloor sensibility, Mindlancholic continues to shape a growing identity within the contemporary progressive movement.
