"Melodic and driving with a touch of tech and psy" is the motto of MAWU, whose sound can be described as a blend of driving organic beats, groovy basslines, dreamy soundscapes, and carefully placed melodic elements. His exciting and high-energy sets and tracks sit somewhere between Progressive House and Peak-Time Techno and are characterized by the convergence of various musical worlds. MAWU can already look back on a long and diverse musical career, which he began not later than at the early age of four with the cello. Over the years, he added more instruments such as piano and electric bass, pursued studies as a classical and jazz musician, and, not least, explored various genres as a producer and DJ. To give his sound a unique touch, he has recently started incorporating the cello in unconventional and innovative ways into his productions, allowing him to further integrate his diverse influences into his music.
