Gabe, AKA Joi L.F, has been collecting and selecting records for a little under 15 years, and is an avid and eclectic digger. Co-owner and organiser at Grub Records, Apricot Ballroom, and Kegstand, as well as hosting regular shows on Worldwide FM and Kitchen Radio. His sets and selections vary wildly from night to night, set to set, and party to party: You might hear chuggy, druggy downtempo electronica at the Kegstand parties; funk, soul, jazz, house, and world selections at Apricot Ballroom; and breakbeat, electro, and techno in his wider sets. An obsessive speaker and hi-fi nerd to boot, the music selections are typically guided by that passion, and focus on interesting and unusual sounds and production styles aimed squarely at the dancefloor
