Jøhannes grew up on a combination of 70s and 80s rock, disco and synth pop from his parents, and combined with his own love for jazz piano, house and video game music, this gave him a mixed spectrum of musical influence; Jøhannes plays a variety of genres but his strengths lie specifically within House, Garage, Breaks and Electro. Jøhannes is very familiar with the Scottish music scene, having played in Aberdeen’s Tunnels and D2, Dundee’s Casa and in Glasgow’s Nico’s and Sub Club venues. "I believe anything catchy should go in a set and I’m not afraid to push the boat out if I think it will draw a good reaction, regardless of genre, tempo or era. You’ll know straight away if you’ve pulled it off which makes a set all the more satisfying!"
