Hamish Cole and Toby Nicholas met in Leeds, bonding over countless hazy after hours mixing records together. That part time passion became full time employment, with Hamish heading up legendary Leeds night Butter Side Up, and booking Dimensions Festival, and Toby graduating from founding Dog Eat Dog in Manchester, to becoming Head Booker at The Pickle Factory in London. Their mutual love of wide-ranging, deeply dug dance music saw them join forces, showcasing their inimitable collections across Europe and beyond. Over the past year, gigs at Hoppetosse, Dimensions Festival, Closer, Club Der Visionaere, an all nighter on Concrete’s Woodfloor, and two exultant sets at Houghton Festival proved defining moments in them becoming an integral part of a tightly knit UK scene. Now they’re at the forefront of a new wave of young British DJs, with trips this year to Australia and New York leading to planned tours of Asia and America over the coming months.
