Emerging from Naarm’s underground scene, Char has steadily carved out her space both behind the decks and behind the scenes over the years. As one of the minds behind Gateway Festival and Prognosis, she’s become a familiar force across dancefloors, DJ booths and the events world. With an affinity for late 90s and early 2000s sounds, her selections extend from minimal & tech house through to progressive house & trance - all inspired by the deep, groovy, percussive and primitive elements that make a dance floor move. Char’s versatility has seen her share lineups and host nights with the likes of Paramida, Jane Fitz, DJ Masda, Youandewan, Bliss Inc., Olsvangèr, Eversines and more — consistently curating atmospheres that resonate with dancers and heads alike. Beyond the booth Char is a head of Tangle Agency, working as a tour and booking agent and events operator. Whether behind the scenes or at the booth, her approach is shaped by intention and deep-rooted knowledge, allowing her to create moments that feel both considered and instinctive.
