caitlin c. harvey (b. 1993) is a sound artist currently living in Detroit, MI. She creates innovative electronic music, sourcing from original field recordings and experimenting with unorthodox rhythms. Much of her work plays with nostalgia, as well as spiritual themes, all with a mech-ambient twist. This has led her to create her own genre of Cyborganics, amalgamating her interests in the natural world and reflections of the post-industrial environment of Detroit. caitlin’s music career developed in Detroit’s North End, inspired and mentored by its resident musicians like Submerge Records, Onyx Ashanti, Theo Parrish, and Waajeed of Underground Music Academy. caitlin continues to further her music career in spatial sound, sound healing, music for film, audio technology, linguistics, and releasing her solo work.
