Bruno Castillo

Bruno is a DJ, sound engineer and passionate vinyl collector based in Barcelona, with roots in Lima, Peru. Growing up within Lima’s vibrant musical scene, he explored a wide range of genres, from punk rock and reggae ska to Afro-Peruvian music, psychedelic cumbia, hip hop and jazz. However, it was the house and techno emerging from Chicago and Detroit that shaped his artistic and professional direction. His connection to music began with his family’s inherited vinyl records and vintage turntables, sparking a fascination with digging for rare records and building a distinctive collection. This passion for the analogue format not only defined his personal sound, but also shaped his DJ technique, characterised by precision, creativity and an ability to fuse groove-driven rhythms, analogue textures and electronic energy. Over the years, Bruno has established himself as a respected figure within the music scene, recognised for his multicultural perspective and deep respect for vinyl culture. His music reflects both his heritage and his spirit of innovation, positioning him as a notable presence within Barcelona’s musical landscape.
