Black Paps

BLACK PAPS DJ • Producer • Positive Vibe Maker Geneva, Switzerland “The Music Speaks.” Born in Bissau, Guinea-Bissau, and raised between Portugal and Switzerland, BLACK PAPS carries a multicultural identity that has naturally shaped his relationship with music. Now based in Geneva, BLACK PAPS is a DJ & Producer with more than 13 years of experience in the electronic music scene. Music has always been at the heart of his journey — not simply as entertainment, but as a universal language capable of bringing people, cultures and energies together. Rooted in House Music, his musical identity has evolved through different influences, moving between Deep House, Afro House, Afro Tech, Organic, Minimal, Tech House and Indie Dance, while retaining touches of Funk and Disco that reflect his broad musical culture. Behind the decks, BLACK PAPS approaches every performance as a sonic journey. Rather than simply playing tracks, he builds his sets progressively, reading the room and creating a dialogue between the music and the dancefloor. Groove, emotion, unexpected selections and positive energy are central to his performances. This philosophy has naturally defined him as a: POSITIVE VIBE MAKER. Throughout his journey, BLACK PAPS has performed across the Swiss electronic music scene and shared line-ups with internationally recognised artists including DJ Spen, Rocco, Francis Mercier, Laolu, Boddhi Satva, Sparrow & Barbossa, Vanco, Jamie Lewis, David Armada and many others. His artistic evolution eventually led him beyond the DJ booth. BLACK PAPS is the founder and artistic force behind SANBRÁSS, a concept born in Geneva and created around a simple vision: music should be about movement, discovery, freedom and human connection. More than an event, SANBRÁSS represents a community and a state of mind. Its philosophy reflects BLACK PAPS’ own approach to music and life: give before expecting to receive, support other artists, create connections and allow the music to flow without boundaries. Through carefully curated line-ups, established artists, emerging talents and special guests, SANBRÁSS has progressively developed its own identity within Geneva’s nightlife. Today, BLACK PAPS continues to develop both his individual artistic project and SANBRÁSS while expanding his presence beyond Switzerland. From intimate underground clubs to open-air events, festivals and international destinations, his objective remains unchanged: to create a genuine connection with the audience and leave behind an energy that continues after the music stops. For BLACK PAPS, music is not defined by borders, origins or labels. It is about energy. It is about connection. It is about sharing. And ultimately… THE MUSIC SPEAKS.
