Ever since, WEST has been brewing the finest artisan lagers and ale in strict accordance with the Reinheitsgebot, the German Purity Law of 1516. To this day, WEST is the only brewery in the UK to officially adhere to the Reinheitsgebot, merging centuries of traditional practice with state-of-the-art equipment. WEST's German roots are firmly planted in Glasgow and its company ethos can best be summed up as 'Glaswegian Heart. German Head.' WEST is located in the beautiful historical Templeton building, converted from the old Templeton Carpet Factory, is a distinctive building in Glasgow, Scotland, opened in 1892. It offers a German beerhall inspired bar, restaurant, beer garden & iconic event space.
