The Vaults is located in the basement of a Grade II listed bank in the Butetown area of Cardiff. Completed in 1927, it ceased to operate as a banking facility in 1999. It was then opened as a venue by Backroom in 2009, with the old gold vaults of the bank renovated to serve as a club space. The space is now run by The Vaults Presents who put on monthly parties.
