The Cobalt

Located on the outskirts of Vancouver's Downtown Eastside, the Cobalt has been many things throughout its long life, among them a biker bar, punk rock haunt, and metal venue, but its latest incarnation sees it as a little bit of everything, hosting functions, gay dance parties, concerts, and techno and house nights. Adorned with brick and wood and dim lighting, the Cobalt aims for a self-consciously "underground" atmosphere.
