Occupying the cavernous space beneath Glasgow’s Central Station, The Arches is Scotland’s most infamous nightclub. With three bars spread over six subterranean arches, the distinctive industrial space is host to an impressive array of nights, with regular appearances from two of Scotland’s best known and longest running promoters, Colours and Pressure, as well as The Arches’ own club programme. As a not-for-profit culture and arts venue, the building also puts on live music as well as edgy performance art and theatre, and has an award-winning café bar and restaurant.
