Descripción
Tap Social Movement is a craft brewery and hospitality social enterprise that provides training and employment opportunities to ex-offenders and welcoming, inclusive spaces for the whole community.
We set up our brewery in 2016 on a 1000L brew kit inside our Botley industrial unit. In the five+ years since, we’ve expanded to a larger brewing site, opened 3 hospitality venues, sold our beer to hundreds of venues, and worked with over 50 men who have spent time in prison. We work with people who are currently serving prison sentences by offering employment to men on day release programmes, and with people who are post release and rebuilding their lives after incarceration. The artwork that we use for our can labels, our beer taps, our merchandise and across the walls in our venues is all created for us by men serving prison sentences; further highlighting the immense talent that is sat behind prison bars.
Our Taproom venue is a warehouse located at the back of the Curtis Industrial Estate in Botley, Oxford. Here you will find all sorts of events from live music to comedy, dancing, dating, movie and club nights.
The bar is fully stocked with an array of drinks, serving our own Tap Social brewery beers, a rotation of guest craft beers, a wide range of spirits, wines, ciders, cocktails, soft drinks, non alcoholic beers & spirits, and more. We have recently launched Proof Pizza with our bakery team who set up outside the taproom every weekend serving fantastic, fresh sourdough pizza.
Our mission is simple - we exist to promote rehabilitation and reduce the risk of reoffending through the creation of employment, education and training opportunities for ex-offenders. For the full story, please visit here - https://www.tapsocialtaproom.com
