Take Your Time Records opened in 2023 in Pisa with the intention of representing more than just a record shop. Incorporating design and art shows the intent to explore and integrate different aesthetics and cultures in a unique environment. Above all, it aims to become an important meeting point for music lovers, DJs, producers, artists, and record collectors, a place where the Tuscan club community can come to discover new and surprising sounds and where musicians can meet to exchange ideas. Its unique selection travels the boundaries of dance music sub-genres such as techno, house, disco, and bass music, reaching out to experimental and leftfield sounds, funk, jazz, psychedelia and sound materials from around the world. It also houses a recording environment for DJ sets and podcasts, which is often used by the in-house crew of producers and DJs, making Take Your Time Records an open laboratory for artistic collaboration and research. It also hosts the work of many young artists and designers, giving them the opportunity to exhibit and sell their work. The same can be said of Take Your Time Records' support for the local scene, often allowing labels, musicians and publishers to organize promotional events in the shop.
