In 2021, the Municipality of Breda and the province of North Brabant joined forces and jointly purchased the former CSM site. This site, where the sugar factory once stood, covers 26.4 hectares and was called 't Zoet: Sweetspot of Brabant. A strategic location within walking distance of the station. With a shared vision, the municipality and the province have the ambition to transform 't Zoet into a highly urban, internationally oriented area with characteristic features of both Breda and Brabant. This new district will be a valuable addition to the existing urban environments of Breda.
