Since its formation in 2018, SHIFT Cardiff CIC has dedicated itself to the promotion and support of experimental music and performance art in Wales. We have delivered hundreds of live events, residencies, workshops and commissions, supporting artists at all stages of their careers. Through these platforms, SHIFT has become a vital space for experimentation and exploration providing crucial opportunities for artistic risk-taking and public engagement. Our programmes function as incubators for creative talent, offering structured pathways into experimental practice via residencies, collaborative projects and public-facing events. These formats are designed to be open and accessible, particularly for those new to the field or from underrepresented backgrounds.
