With an upside-down world, grass on the roof and a unique bar oasis, this place is something in itself. The small bar in the centre is unlike anything else in the city. Ostara Bar has one of Oslo's most intimate and cosy dance floors decorated like a jungle. Ostara Bar regularly books international and local techno DJs to their jungle dancefloor, so expect a sweaty night in the Ostara jungel. The bar mainly serves wine, sake, beer and vegetarian and vegan food. The selection of drinks is suitable for the size of the bar, and they happily come with recommendations from the menu. We appreciate that they restrict to what is important for the concept, such as sake and natural wine. They held a sake tasting very recently, where you could taste and learn more about the sake they have brought in. The food menu is not large but has some selected dishes that you can either have as a small or large portion or all in a four-course meal. There are Asian dishes such as curry dumplings, kimchi pancakes, portobello and broccolini, and beetroot dessert with chocolate.
