La Briche is a residential recording studio and artist residency deep in the Loire Valley countryside. A professional live room and treated control room sit inside a converted outbuilding on a sprawling rural estate, surrounded by forests, ruins, and strange gardens. Artists come to record, compose, and collaborate in isolation — staying on-site in a seven-bedroom manor house where communal meals and long evenings blur the line between session and life. The estate also occasionally hosts small private events, opening its spaces — an intimate studio stage, a forest threaded with art installations, a gutted cottage turned sound gallery — to carefully curated gatherings. The whole site is built on the bones of a 19th-century industrial farm that nature has been slowly, beautifully reclaiming for over a century.
