The deep desire to house a place, a vessel capable of opening a gateway to the arts, to join a space-time where creation and its promotion are the centrepieces of daily life, where a diverse public reflecting the image of the district meets and forges links. Where collaboration is the greatest strength, the one that allows us to savour the audacity of emergence. A place that is conscious of its ecological impact and its harmonious integration into the ecosystem. A place where artistic possibilities overflow, not only in their multidisciplinarity, but also in their reintegration into our landscapes. Our first collaboration with the Notan studio saw us occupy a former Vietnamese restaurant, the ‘Tambourin d'Aulac’ (renamed ‘au Kooi’) in Uccle. The space is in transition, having just been sold and earmarked for demolition. We have the chance to give it a last breath. For a period of at least one year, from January 2024 to January 2025, this 1,000 m2 space will be a laboratory for in situ artistic experiments, with a view to welcoming artists and the general public.
