At Houtbaar, you can not only spend the whole day enjoying snacks, drinks, and the location itself. New initiatives are also welcome to showcase their cultural and artistic freedom.The name 'Houtbaar' is a spin-off from the original name given in 2019: 'Tenminste Houtbaar'. The idea has always been to create a fair and sustainable society together. 'Reduce, repair, learn, and reuse.' By working with recyclable materials, and choosing fences from social workshops (made by people with social disadvantages and work limitations) for social and cultural reasons, the company 20TREE, as the initiator and developer, has provided a unique, cozy, creative, attractive, and relaxing haven amidst the concrete spaces of the Waarderpolder. The kitchen also works as much as possible with local and organic products from the area and its own garden, striving to create the best possible circular enterprise.Enjoy this new fringe area of the city, urban garden, and creative breeding ground where everyone is welcome to enjoy what the location has to offer.
