Funke

Funke is a bar, an art space and a club. A polymorphous clubhouse for tireless dancers, curious wanderers, and high demanding audiophiles. Nested in the vibrant Bij Sint-Jacobs square, Funke inhabits three floors in a 19th-century building that used to be a townhouse, a furniture store called Meubelen Rita, a people’s café, and a brown pub. Funke entails a small-capacity nightclub, Het Verdiep (a versatile floor that can be used as an exhibition space), some nooks and crannies, and a green roof featuring the very herbs we use in our food and drinks. An action-packed, pocket-sized cultural hub in the centre of Ghent.
