Founded in 2004 in the Zaanstreek and rooted in the local punk scene, De Fik has always been more than just a space. It’s a meeting ground for free spirits and unconventional ideas. What started as a DIY hub for neighborhood parties, exhibitions, and protests has evolved over the years, supporting countless creative and social initiatives. In 2025, that spirit found a permanent home with the opening of De Fik Garden. Built by and for the community, it’s a raw, ever-evolving space where artists, collectives, and creatives come together to shape their own stages. Bonfires, sound systems, and DIY structures set the scene for seasonal festivals, experimental performances, and workshops that push boundaries and bring people closer.
